Aurora Quest K-8 recently hosted the 3rd Annual Aurora Education Association Technology Learning Fair. Students from Quest and Sable, Jewell, Sixth Avenue and Paris Elementary schools competed in eight different categories: Digital Art, Web 2.0, Productivity, Multimedia, Digital Storytelling, Robotics, Programming and Podcasting.
The projects the students created impressed visitors and judges alike. Students won grand prizes in each category and will present their projects at the Colorado Technology in Education Conference at Copper Mountain in June. The winners are as follows:
  • Digital Art - Brandon Gonzalez - Sixth Avenue Elementary
  • Web 2.0 - Marian Sifuentes, Karen Frazier, Bryan Fierro and Robert Valenzuela - Sable Elementary
  • Productivity - Coleman Lynn - Jewell Elementary
  • Multimedia - Ian Andrysiak - Jewell Elementary
  • Digital Storytelling - Erin Burson and Brenna Sorbie - Aurora Quest K-8
  • Robotics - Keerti Vajrala and Kendra Cameron - Aurora Quest K-8
  • Programming - Samantha Shapard - Aurora Quest K-8
  • Podcasting - Jose Jeres, Serapio Buenrostro and Bryant Coronado - Sixth Avenue Elementary School
